Senior Backend Engineer – Golang - Amsterdam - Hybrid - Up to €150k OTE

A leading technology company operating across Europe and North America is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Amsterdam-based engineering team. The company provides cloud infrastructure solutions for compute-intensive applications and operates its data centers to deliver scalable compute power for demanding workloads.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will contribute to the development of backend services focused on security, billing, and monitoring systems. You will work within a fast-paced, distributed environment using technologies such as Golang, managed databases, Kubernetes, and scalable infrastructure components. This position is hybrid, based in Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services in Golang
• Work on systems for billing and monitoring within the platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across cloud infrastructure and security services
• Focus on system scalability, reliability, and performance for high-load applications

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally in Golang or e.g. Python, Java.
• Proven experience with or readiness to transition into Golang
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud technologies
• Familiarity with distributed systems and Kubernetes is a strong plus
• Strong problem-solving and architectural design skills
• Being in the EU. Visa sponsorship is possible.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary between €90,000 and €120,000
