Desktop Support Technician:


For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Technician for a long contract based in Drachten, Netherlands


Its paying well and my client can interview asap!



Role:

We are seeking an experienced On Site Service Engineer to provide end-user IT support and infrastructure services directly at client sites. The role is customer-facing, requiring excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical skills to ensure a seamless IT experience.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hardware, software, and mobility device support (Windows, Office, iOS/Android).
  • Perform break-fix, imaging/re-imaging, and asset lifecycle management (install, configure, retire).
  • Provide “smart hands” support for servers, networks, printers, and security devices.
  • Manage incidents and service requests via ServiceNow within agreed SLAs.
  • Support office moves, on-site events, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (incident, change, asset management).
  • Coordinate with vendors/contractors and provide accurate documentation.
  • Participate in IT projects and provide on-call support as required.



Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in IT service delivery or technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft environment and ServiceNow (preferred).
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, MCP, or vendor-specific (HP/Dell/Cisco) are an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and self-motivation skills.
