We’re looking for a forward-thinking AI/ML Developer with strong product vision to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and scale the tools and systems that power our productions and AI-driven creative products.

You’ll work at the intersection of VFX, animation, and machine learning, collaborating with artists, supervisors, and product stakeholders to transform creative challenges into scalable technical solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI/ML-powered tools for VFX and animation pipelines.
  • Partner with artists, production teams, and product leadership to identify needs and translate them into product features and technical solutions.
  • Prototype and productionize ML models for tasks such as image/video processing, content generation, and workflow automation.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and usability of internal tools and external-facing products.
  • Build intuitive user interfaces and integrate AI-driven systems into artist-friendly workflows.
  • Contribute to product strategy and long-term vision, balancing innovation with practical production needs.
  • Implement testing frameworks and ensure continuous improvement of tools and processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong Python development experience, with applications in ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Background in building tools or products in a product company or product-oriented environment.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models into production-ready tools (e.g., computer vision, generative AI, automation).
  • Solid understanding of software design, APIs, and scalable architectures.
  • Familiarity with VFX/animation workflows (Nuke, Houdini, Blender, or similar) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with front-end/back-end technologies (JavaScript, React.js, Node.js) for productization.
  • Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and creative stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience shipping AI-driven tools or products used by external customers.
  • Familiarity with GPU optimization and distributed training.
  • Knowledge of build/distribution ecosystems (e.g., Rez) and production tracking tools (e.g., ShotGrid).
  • Interest in generative AI, creative coding, and innovation for storytelling.
