About our client: We are searching for a Senior PHP Engineer for our client, a national leader in communications solutions and application integrations. The company’s extensive portfolio includes a wide range of products and services, including IP telephony solutions, web conferencing, real-time collaboration, contact center and more. Their team of communications and technology experts is dedicated to providing customized, high-quality solutions from reputable vendors tailored to each organization's specific needs.

About the role: You will work directly with our in-house team on a variety of projects, including Change Requests (enhancing and optimizing existing applications) and New Projects (building innovative solutions from the ground up). You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications while contributing to a hybrid work environment that balances individual contributions and teamwork.

What you will do:

• Develop backend applications in PHP (no frameworks required)
• Frontend Development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Connect and administer MySQL and MSSQL databases
• Optimize database performance and ensure seamless web application integration
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Build, configure, and maintain Docker/Podman containers
• Optimize applications for efficient performance in containerized environments
• Configure and manage Nginx as a primary server and load balancer
• Use tools like GitHub, Git, VSCode, SSH, and SSL for version control and infrastructure management
• Configure and maintain Asterisk telephony systems, integrate web applications with Asterisk (AMI/AGI)

What you need:

• Expertise in backend development with PHP
• Strong experience in Linux (preferably Ubuntu and Oracle)
• Solid knowledge of MySQL and MSSQL databases
• Proficiency in Docker or Podman
• Familiarity with Nginx for server configuration and management
• Experience with bash scripting for Linux administration
• Frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (nice to have)
• Integration skills with Asterisk (nice to have)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and practices (nice to have)

Contracting Options: Flexible collaboration tailored to project needs based on hourly basis suitable for dynamic or evolving requirements.

Contract period: 6 months minimum
