Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, strategically dividing their focus between critical IT infrastructure initiatives and cutting-edge technology development. This role requires a strong understanding of both traditional IT operations and agile software/product development methodologies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving projects from conception through to successful delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, budget, and timelines, while effectively managing stakeholders across various departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of technology projects, primarily focused on TMS software development, product enhancements, and innovation initiatives, which may include: New product feature development and releases, Platform enhancements and refactoring, Integration of new technologies (e.g., AI/ML, IoT) into existing products, Website or mobile application development, Data analytics and business intelligence tool implementations.
• Work closely with product owners, and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
• Manage technology project backlogs, work with leadership to prioritize tasks, and track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of IT infrastructure projects, including but not limited to: Network upgrades and expansions, Server and data center migrations, Cloud adoption and optimization (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Cybersecurity initiatives (e.g., implementing new security tools, compliance projects), System implementations and integrations (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS back-end systems), Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Ensure IT projects adhere to company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee IT project budgets, resource allocation, and risk management specific to infrastructure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements for both IT and Technology projects.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges clearly and concisely to all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, departmental heads, and external vendors.
• Champion best practices in project management, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
• Manage change effectively, ensuring smooth transitions for new systems, processes, or technologies.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Facilitate post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering both IT infrastructure and software/technology projects.
• Proven experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid). PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components (networking, servers, virtualization, cloud platforms).
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and experience working with engineering teams.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Trello).
• Excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
