QA Project Manager

Location: Visp, Switzerland
The Manager, QA Project Management is responsible for providing daily oversight, tactical execution, and strategic leadership to a team of QA Project Managers. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality support to both internal and external customers across a range of quality assurance functions, particularly during technology transfer (TT), process validation, and regulatory compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA Project Managers to ensure timely and compliant delivery of quality objectives.
- Oversee quality deliverables such as sterility assurance assessments, material evaluations, and process validation milestones.
- Resolve issues related to tech transfer, production deviations, change controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Quality Agreements, SOPs, and applicable regulations.
- Serve as QA Project Manager for client projects as needed.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality metrics.
- Support regulatory and customer audits, and represent QA in cross-functional meetings.
- Provide training and guidance on quality principles, risk assessment, and root cause analysis.
- Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and support career development of team members.
- Collaborate with departments such as MSAT, Engineering, QC, Validation, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing on high-risk quality events.
- Prepare deviation trending reports and provide recommendations to senior site management.
Qualifications:
- Education: BSc or MSc in Science, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within a regulated environment.
- 10-15 years of experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Deep understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
