Our client is a fast-growing European investment platform at the intersection of private markets and sustainability. To accelerate its international expansion, the firm is seeking a Director of Sales to build and lead its distribution partnerships channel.


This is a senior strategic role with high visibility, offering the opportunity to establish relationships with leading banks, fintechs, pension funds, and asset managers, while positioning the platform as a trusted partner for sustainable and impact-focused investment solutions. The Director will drive the creation of new channels from the ground up, shaping the commercial strategy and contributing directly to long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute the distribution strategy, building institutional partnerships across banks, asset managers, pension funds, wealth platforms, fintechs, and other financial intermediaries.


  • Act as the senior commercial lead for strategic negotiations, establishing high-value partnerships that expand market reach and client access.


  • Build, manage, and grow a pipeline of distribution opportunities across Europe, aligning with the firm’s mission and investment offering.


  • Collaborate with internal product, investment, and marketing teams to ensure tailored solutions that meet partner and client requirements.


  • Represent the firm externally, articulating its value proposition and market positioning with authority and credibility at the highest levels.


  • Establish scalable processes and reporting frameworks for tracking, measuring, and optimizing distribution effectiveness.


Candidate Profile


  • 8+ years of experience in institutional sales, distribution, or business development within financial services, asset management, or fintech, with a proven record of establishing successful commercial partnerships.


  • Strong, relevant network across European financial institutions, including banks, pension funds, and asset managers.


  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new channels from scratch, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.


  • Deep interest in sustainability, impact investing, or climate-related finance, with genuine mission alignment.


  • Track record of senior stakeholder engagement and deal-closing at C-suite or board level.


  • Comfortable in a scale-up environment: resourceful, adaptable, and driven to deliver results in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting.
