As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the DRM Ingestion Team, which is part of Epidemic Sound’s central Data Engineering organization. Your role will be to build and scale a greenfield data warehouse for large scale social-media music data that will provide critical commercial insights to both internal and external users.

The DRM Ingestion Team is responsible for ingesting large-scale music and rights data from social media platforms like YouTube, music rights holders, and other third-party data sources. You will be responsible for transforming and modeling this large-scale data so it can be used to unlock valuable insights into how Epidemic Sound’s music is being used. This is a unique greenfield project where you will have significant influence on the data architecture and tooling for a mission-critical data initiative. This work is key to establishing a new revenue stream and directly informing strategic and commercial decisions across the company.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Build, maintain, and evolve the DRM data warehouse, transforming and modeling large-scale data for a variety of internal and external data consumers.
  • Define and implement data architecture and data modeling principles in a greenfield environment.
  • Partner closely with other engineers and analytics teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready data products.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with dbt or other ELT orchestration tools.
  • Expertise in SQL, BigQuery, and data modeling.
  • A self-starter attitude, able to take ownership and drive work forward independently.
  • Curiosity and passion for extracting value from large-scale data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in smaller companies or early-stage environments, where you’ve taken ownership of data products and worked with rapidly evolving requirements
  • Experience with data infrastructure and orchestration
  • Experience with dbt Cloud, Airflow, or Apache Beam
  • Knowledge of Java, Kotlin, or Go
