The Software & App Development team

The Tacx App on IOS, Android and Desktop connects with Tacx trainers bringing reality and engagement to indoor rides. With our extensive collection of real-life cycling videos, we serve ten thousands of people on a monthly basis. In this client-facing product environment we continuously need to improve performance, quality, features and design. Next to this we aim to join the Garmin ecosystem, creating an all-season cycling experience.


As a Product Owner/Business Analyst in our team, you are responsible for optimizing the value of the deliverables of our Software Development teams consisting of approximately 50 associates working at our offices in Oegstgeest and Taiwan. You will also work in close cooperation with our international Garmin teams, the Product Manager, Technology Architects, UX Designers end-users and departments such as marketing and technical support to implement features and align the way of working.


Product Owner

We are seeking a full-time Product Owner for the Tacx Training app team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and effectively communicating user requirements for features across your strategic domain. You will work closely with the Product Manager. Within the development team, you will represent the customer and will be responsible for optimising the value of deliverables. You will also work with other internal and external stakeholders to drive application / technology solutions and related business processes.


What are your tasks and responsibilities?

  • Lead requirement discovery sessions with Product manager and cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for our applications.
  • Ensure the team understands the requirements to meet business and customer needs by working closely with the team and product manager.
  • You prioritise, maintain, and optimise the backlog of the development teams and ensure backlog items are understood.
  • You effectively engage diverse group of stakeholders and align cross team dependencies, priorities, and progress.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for supported applications and software features.
  • Analyse data and reports from multiple sources to guide product owners to make informed decisions based on user behavior and feedback.
  • Provide training and mentorship to fellow Business Analysts on updated processes, tools, and requirements to ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Provide feedback on processes and procedures to help advance the team.
  • Work together with world-wide peers (USA & Romania), share and implement best practices across our international teams.


What do we expect from you?

  • Must have solid experience as a Product Owner or Business analyst for digital projects.
  • Experienced with business analysis principles, methodologies, and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements that meet business needs.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and leadership expertise in the development of product/concept development plans.
  • Proven track record in successfully executing web and app projects of any scale or complexity.
  • Good communication skills in English and preferably Dutch.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence and experienced with working in Agile teams.
  • Experience with product management and business development
