Project Control Manager | Large-Scale Industrial Construction Project (Northern Sweden):



  • We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Control Manager to join our team on a significant, large-scale industrial construction project located in Northern Sweden.
  • This critical role is responsible for driving financial and performance transparency across a major construction area.
  • You will be the linchpin for project steering, ensuring success through robust cost control, proactive risk management, and fact-based insights for all stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Controlling & Monitoring: Oversee and track project costs, KPIs, progress, commitments, and expenditures to ensure strict adherence to the project budget and timeline.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Develop and present accurate financial reports and forecasts, providing clear visibility into deviations, and aligning data for key stakeholders.
  • Data Integrity: Guarantee the accuracy and transparency of key project data (including quantities from EPCM partners) and maintain high-quality data within controlling systems (e.g., Power BI).
  • Risk & Change Management: Identify, evaluate, and propose mitigation strategies for schedule and cost risks. Review and assess all change requests/orders to determine their impact on cost and schedule.
  • Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the primary interface between Project Management, EPCM, Engineering, Cost Control, and Contract Management teams.



What You'll Bring:



  • A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately 5 years of Project Control experience on large-scale projects, ideally involving EPCM contracts.
  • Proficiency with cost control systems, performance monitoring tools, and established reporting standards.
  • A solid understanding of cross-functional collaboration across all project functions (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a rigorous, fact-based, and structured working style.
  • Business-fluent English is required.



The Details:



  • Location: Northern Sweden (Mandatory on-site presence of ∼80%)
  • Start: Immediate/As soon as possible
  • Duration: Initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.
  • Pay Rate: Negotiable
