The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to become Javelin's first HR hire based in our growing Krakow office. You will benefit from a close connection and support from our London HR team as well as our global employee base. This hands-on role provides the chance to gain valuable exposure to a wide range of HR operational tasks across the entire employee life cycle, with a strong focus on both the growing Polish office as well as taking on various administration duties for some of our wider global offices including payroll and benefits administration.
We are seeking a self-motivated, positive, and professional individual who understands the sensitive and confidential nature of HR and is well-versed in local Polish employment law and HR compliance. You should bring a solid foundation of experience in HR, ideally at least five years in an HR generalist position and ideally have a qualification or degree relevant to the HR field. This position is based full-time in our office, conveniently commutable via tram or road.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Producing and reviewing HR documentation, including contracts of employment, leaver letters, references etc. in both Polish and English languages as required
- Supporting both local and global employees with first line queries relating to payroll, benefits, absence etc
- Supporting the HR team with recruitment and employee on/offboarding administration for global and local teams, e.g. visa administration, background screenings etc
- Maintenance of Javelin's HR system and running reports when required
- Assist with global monthly payroll processes with support of HR team members
- Working with benefits providers to administer benefits for our global workforce
- Collaborating with the team to help improve HR documentation, processes and procedures
- Support the co-ordination of the annual performance review process
- General ad hoc administrative tasks as they arise
- Previous experience in a similar HR role (ideally with a global footprint)
- Degree educated in a relevant subject area
- Written and spoken fluency in English and Polish language
- Excellent MS Office Skills, including Excel and Outlook
- Positive team player who can work effectively independently but also aware of when to request guidance from the team and share ideas before action
- A clear focus on the importance of data sensitivity and confidentiality
- Experience using HR Information Systems and/or Payroll System (experience with Workday is advantageous)
- Proactive individual with the ability to manage and prioritise workload
