We are looking for an experienced front-end / mobile developer to join us in achieving our goal to help save one million lives every year by 2030. The position will be based in Stavanger, Norway, and will report to the Engineering Manager of the Digital Business.

As part of our Digital Business unit, you will help build a digital platform that enables organizations to efficiently manage, monitor, and optimize fleets of life-saving training stations deployed across multiple locations. This solution empowers healthcare providers and organizations to deliver high-quality training, improve operational efficiency, and ensure readiness for critical situations.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who can work effectively in an innovative cross-functional team. You will design and implement key parts of our digital platforms, influence technical decision-making, and interact with other product developers and teams in a fast-paced, impact-focused environment.

As a senior developer, you will support your team to make a meaningful impact on our mission. In all we do, we aim to foster joint ownership for development, product management, and design. Your communication and cooperation skills will play a central role in strengthening this link. You will also build an effective partnership with Product and Design Leadership based on a clear understanding of your respective responsibilities and mutual expectations.

While our technology stack is constantly evolving, we are currently using predominantly C# .NET in an Azure infrastructure, along with React on the frontend. While experience with these specific technologies is a plus, your deep understanding of and experience with cloud technology, database and API design, as well as general software design, product development, and testing will be most important in your role.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver seamless, high-quality mobile experiences.
• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native (or similar frameworks).
• Ensure mobile apps are performant, scalable, and provide an excellent user experience across devices.
• Implement intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Integrate mobile applications with cloud-based backend services (preferably Azure).
• Champion best practices in mobile development, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and industry trends.
• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in frontend and/or mobile development, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Deep expertise in building mobile applications with React Native (or similar frameworks).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing performant, scalable, and reliable mobile apps.
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and accessibility standards.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with cloud-based backends (Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, authentication, and secure data handling in mobile environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Motivated by delivering real value to customers and continuous professional growth.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android).
• Experience designing and implementing advanced search functionality in mobile applications.
• Experience optimizing apps for speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks for mobile.
• Exposure to customer identity and access management (CIAM) concepts.
• Experience working in agile environments.
