Job Purpose
The purpose of the role of the Graphic designer within the preconstruction team is to support the Tendering and Preconstruction team by designing and producing high-quality graphic visuals, layouts, and materials that enhance tender submissions. The role ensures all proposals are visually engaging, brand-compliant, and effectively communicate key messages to maximize bid success.
Operational Responsibilities
- Create design tender and presentation materials (including custom graphics and videos as appropriate) for each tender opportunity ensuring consistent branding and formatting standards across all documentation in order to improve the win ratio.2. Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.) and Microsoft PowerPoint to create conceptual and creative designs in order to communicate complex ideas to a non-technical audience and meet client requirements.
- Translate written content from bid managers, estimators, and technical leads into compelling visuals in order to strengthen the clarity and persuasiveness of submissions.
- Develop infographics, charts, and diagrams that clearly present technical and commercial data in order to simplify complex information and engage evaluators.
- Produce tender presentations and mood boards to help clients visualize design concepts and project plans while working with internal and external stakeholders (architects, interior designers, and project managers).
- Adapt design layouts and visuals for digital and print formats in order to meet diverse submission requirements and enhance client experience.
- Conduct quality checks on all visual outputs including formatting, image resolution, and compliance in order to minimize errors and improve professionalism.
- Maintain a central library of graphic templates, icons, and visual assets in order to ensure consistency, efficiency, and brand alignment across all tender materials.
- Keep updated on all branding guidelines, including changes, in order to ensure KPS branding standards are maintained on all submissions.
- Research current design trends and competitor submissions in order to introduce innovative visual techniques that improve the competitive edge of KPS tender documents.
Essential (must have to perform the role)
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or a related field.2. Professional certification or training in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a graphic design role, ideally within a corporate, construction, architecture, or engineering environment.
- Demonstrated experience producing high-quality design outputs for proposals, bids, or client presentations.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint for tender and presentation material development.
- Solid understanding of brand management and the ability to apply corporate guidelines consistently across materials.
- Working knowledge and skills in creating infographics, data visualization, and conceptual graphics to simplify complex technical information.
