A rapidly growing company in the healthcare and retail sector is seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Power BI Expert to join our Business Intelligence team. In this role, you'll transform complex datasets into valuable insights and develop advanced Power BI solutions that empower data-driven decision-making. The position is based in Nivelles.
Power BI Development:
- Create and manage advanced Power BI reports and dashboards, utilizing sophisticated DAX functions, calculations, and data models.
- Optimize report performance for large datasets to ensure efficient data processing and visualization.
- Implement security measures like row-level security to maintain data confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain custom visuals and extensions to enhance reporting capabilities.
Data Analysis and Visualization:
- Analyze diverse, large datasets to identify key trends and insights.
- Design clear, impactful data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Perform data quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
- Work closely with data engineers for seamless data processing and preparation.
- Mentor junior analysts on Power BI best practices and advanced techniques.
- Contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives and support collective growth.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Statistics.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a strong focus on Power BI.
- Experience working with complex data environments, such as data warehousing and big data.
- Extensive knowledge of data modeling techniques, including star schema and dimensional modeling.
Technical Skills:
- Expert in Power BI (both Desktop and Service), including advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with various database systems.
- Familiar with optimization techniques for Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Knowledgeable in data security best practices within Power BI.
Personal Skills:
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying data insights clearly.
- Independent worker, but also a collaborative team player.
- Passionate about continuous learning and data.
- Fluent in French and proficient in English; knowledge of Italian and/or Dutch is a plus.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with other data visualization tools (such as Tableau or Qlik Sense).
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS).
- Microsoft Power BI certification.
