Job Description

At LinkedIn, our strong insider security controls are critical to our ability to ensure a secure infrastructure
that protects our members’ data and ensures. The Identity Development team is responsible for
implementing and operating the services that govern the identity and access of LinkedIn internal users at
scale. This team is also responsible for providing the capabilities to ensure continuous monitoring of
security controls to ensure that they are effective and meet compliance requirements.
As a Sr. Manager of the Identity Development Team at LinkedIn, you will play a crucial role in our ongoing
efforts to set the vision for our internal user identity and compliance strategy. We are looking for
experienced professionals who have a proven track record of leading engineering teams that can design
and develop identity and compliance infrastructure by collaborating with diverse stakeholder teams
(both engineering and non-engineering) across multiple organizations.

This role will be based in Mountain View, CA.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team with a passion for mentoring and growing top engineering
- Participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team as a hands-on
- Define and drive identity and compliance monitoring roadmaps by collaborating with technical leads
- Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation and learning,
- Work with senior management to develop a long-term technology strategy.
- Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience
- 7+ years industry experience in software design, development and delivery
- 5+ years of security experience
- 5+ years programming experience in multiple programming languages such as Rust, Python, Java,
- Experienced in large-scale compute infrastructure and large scale distributed systems
- 5+ years of hands-on technical management experience
- Experience developing full stack applications using microservices architecture
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of hands-on technical management experience
- 8+ years of industry experience
- 2+ years of experience working with machine learning/artificial intelligence
- Experience in the design and development of performant, highly available, scalable web applications
- Track record of successfully managing multiple teams of engineers to deliver multiple projects on time
- Hire and retain world-class engineers by providing career growth, mentoring, and high impact projects,
- Experience with building, deploying, and operating identity management or compliance monitoring
- Experience in building and deploying user authentication and authorization infrastructure (e.g OAuth)

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $181,000 to $297,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
