Senior Data Scientist

Location: Ukraine

The Senior Data Scientist will design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that drive measurable business impact. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-value data science opportunities, while mentoring junior data scientists and contributing to the development of best practices in analytics and AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analytics & Modeling: Design, develop, and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Machine Learning Deployment: Lead end-to-end ML project lifecycle, including data preparation, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring using MLOps best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable data science solutions.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Responsible AI & Governance: Ensure models adhere to ethical AI principles, fairness, explainability, and compliance standards.
• Innovation & Generative AI: Explore and integrate emerging AI technologies, including generative AI, to enhance business processes and solutions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of models, methodologies, and results; present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps frameworks.
• Proven track record in designing, deploying, and scaling ML solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in mentoring and leading data science teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Domain-specific expertise relevant to the business sector (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail).
• Knowledge of Responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, and ethical considerations.
• Experience integrating generative AI technologies into production systems.
• Familiarity with data engineering, big data tools, and advanced analytics platforms.
• Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and causal inference.
