We're seeking curious, growth minded thinkers to help shape our vision, structures and systems; playing a key-role as we launch into our ambitious future. If you're invigorated by our mission, values, and drive to change the world — we'd love to have you apply.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer who is passionate about creating intuitive, performant and reliable mobile experiences and SDKs. You will contribute to the Entrupy app, used by our customers to authenticate luxury goods, and the Entrupy SDK, embedded by third‑party developers to power consumer experiences. You'll collaborate closely with your iOS Lead, Product, Design and partners across engineering to deliver high-quality, maintainable software. This role is ideal for someone who values clarity, iterative development and self-directed project ownership in a growing startup.

Reports to iOS Lead

Location: Brazil

Location Type: Remote

Time Zone Expectations: Maintain overlap with US Eastern hours

What you'll do

  • Lead the end‑to‑end iOS feature lifecycle — from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, release and iteration.
  • Build and evolve the Entrupy iOS app and SDK, focusing on usability, performance and reliability.
  • Design clear, stable, and well‑documented SDK APIs that are easy for external developers to integrate, version, and upgrade.
  • Partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into elegant mobile flows, interactions and architecture.
  • Scope and plan projects with ICs and managers; break down work, identify risks and align on milestones and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with backend and platform teams to shape API contracts, data models and performance characteristics that fit mobile usage.
  • Partner with computer vision/ML, backend platform and customer solutions teams on end‑to‑end initiatives.
  • Uphold code quality, testing strategy and CI/CD for iOS; improve modularization, build tooling and release workflows; lead code reviews and technical design reviews to drive consistent engineering standards and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers through pairing, feedback and guidance; foster a supportive, feedback‑rich culture.
  • Maintain release health (TestFlight, App Store, crash reporting, analytics) and drive fixes and improvements based on data and feedback.
  • Bring knowledge of AI development tools; share ideas and best practices with the broader team and apply them thoughtfully

What you bring

  • 5–8 years of professional iOS development experience, with a strong track record shipping production apps and/or SDKs.
  • Fluency in Swift and iOS frameworks with strong UIKit experience. Proficiency in Objective‑C (or a strong desire to learn) and comfort working in a mixed Swift/Objective‑C codebase.
  • Experience modernizing legacy codebases and incrementally improving architecture, testability and module boundaries.
  • Strong grasp of mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Coordinators), dependency injection and module design.
  • Experience integrating with networked backends (REST), offline caching/sync, background tasks and secure local storage.
  • Proficiency with testing (XCTest, XCUITest) and a pragmatic approach to test coverage and automation.
  • Hands-on with tooling and CI/CD for iOS (e.g., Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, Bitrise or similar) and Swift Package Manager.
  • Clear, empathetic communication skills; ability to influence, align stakeholders and drive clarity across teams.
  • A thoughtful sense of ownership and autonomy; comfortable making well‑reasoned trade‑offs and following through to great outcomes.

Nice to have:

  • Experience developing SDKs used by external developers, with strong API design sensibilities and versioning discipline.
  • Background in camera, image capture or image processing or exposure to Core ML/computer vision.
  • Familiarity with Swift frameworks and patterns such as SwiftUI, async/await and Combine.
  • Familiarity with continuous release practices (feature flags, staged rollouts, phased releases).
  • Experience with security and privacy on mobile (keychain, secure enclave, data protection).
  • Knowledge of localization and accessibility best practices.
  • Familiarity with analytics and experimentation frameworks on mobile.
  • Exposure to Android or Web development.
  • Exposure to backend development (e.g., Python).
