Front-end Developer

We currently have a vacancy for a Front-end Developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company's premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client's IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Development of front-end website architecture and design of user interactions on web pages;
• Development of features to enhance the user experience building reusable code for future use;
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection;
• Cross-platform optimization and design responsive applications;
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software;
• Maintenance of code integrity and organization;
• Building front-end code that complies with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1);
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement;
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
  
  

Requirements

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 17 years;
• Experience with working with the Atlassian Suite, JIRA Confluence Bitbucket and Bamboo;
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and SASS to streamline CSS development for efficiency and organization;
• Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks and good knowledge of Agile principles;
• In-depth knowledge of accessibility and associated standards WCAG 2.1+ and WAI-ARIA;
• Good knowledge of interoperability technology (REST, Service Oriented Architecture, web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus);
• Knowledge of UML, in particular use case, state transition and activity diagrams;
• Knowledge of web components to create moduler and reusable UI elements;
• Knowledge and skills on using Continuing Development / Continuing Integration techniques and knowledge of source code control repositories (GIT/Bitbucket) and build tools such as Maven and Gradle;
• Proficiency in BEM (Block-Element-Modifier) naming convention;
• Experience working with Angular 16+ and/our Aurelia and NPM and knowledge of PostCSS will be an advantage;
• Experience with other Javascript frameworks (JQuery, NGRX, React, Knockout.js...) is an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language
