Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (Extreme Networks & Cato)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with proven expertise in Extreme Networks solutions and Cato Networks (SD-WAN/SASE). The role involves designing, deploying, and managing enterprise network infrastructures, leading network transformations, and ensuring robust, secure, and scalable connectivity across global environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Cato network devices and Extreme Networks switches, routers, and wireless APs.
- Design, configure, and deploy Extreme Networks solutions in enterprise environments.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting across Layer 2/3, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, and multicast.
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Implement performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring.
- Stay up to date with Extreme Networks technologies, firmware, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation (diagrams, standards, SOPs).
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training to support staff.
- Work with Extreme Networks support/account teams for escalations and strategic planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Cato network devices and Extreme Networks switches/APs.
- Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, multicast).
- Experience with Extreme Management Center (XMC), Fabric Connect, ExtremeCloud IQ.
- Certifications such as Extreme Certified Specialist (ECS) or Extreme Certified Expert (ECE) are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
- Knowledge of network security principles, firewall integration, and NAC solutions.
