What will you be doing in this role{{:}}
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders, translating them into functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.
- Design and maintain business process models, specifications, and system documentation to support system evolution and maintenance.
- Define and execute test strategies, including test plans, test scenarios, functional and technical testing, and support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Contribute to system improvements such as notification mechanisms, dashboards, and other enhancements.
- Ensure requirements traceability and consistent data flow across systems, updating documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders through workshops and meetings, preparing analysis documents, reports, and minutes.
- Review and finalize release documentation (user guides, manuals, release notes) and record/follow up on issues in JIRA.
- Participate in project governance activities, including kick-off and progress meetings with Eurostat staff and contractors
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- A Bachelor degree and at least 15 years of work experience (or a Master degree and at least 11 years experience)
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in Oracle / (PL)SQL (min. competence level [3,])1
- At least 3 years of specific expertise in business analysis of which at least 2 years in official statistical production (min. competence level [3])
- At least 3 years of specific expertise in functional testing (min. competence level [3])
- Very good knowledge of SQL
- Expertise in IT business analysis, functional, integration, performance and security testing. More specifically{{:}} experience in business analysis in the official statistical production process and particularly related to the statistical business registers is necessary
- Knowledge of the EGR statistical process, and application ecosystem will be considered as a strong asset, as a lot of time to learn the specific business domain and applications is required for a person without previous experience on it
- Knowledge of Micro data linking concepts and techniques is an advantage
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in Microsoft 365, in particular, the Power BI application
- Ability to understand, speak and write English in C1 level (French in B2 level would be an asset)
- Certifications in Oracle/SQL
