Junior Lawyer

Key Responsibilities

Legal Support

• Assist in providing legal advice on banking, corporate governance, financial, and regulatory matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on relevant laws and regulations.
• Support the Departments of the Bank in all legal matters.
• Monitoring ongoing legal proceedings across the external legal providers of the Bank.

Document Management

• Help draft, review, and organize contracts and legal documents.
• Ensure documentation aligns with internal policies and legal standards.
• Support the Bank in the creation and review of policies, regulations, norms and other internal documentation through internal standards.

Governance & Documentation

• Assist in preparing materials for governance bodies such as the Board of Directors and Committees.
• Help maintain accurate records, meeting minutes, and legal files.

Qualifications

• Law degree.
• Active registration with the Bar Association (considered an asset)
• Up to 3 years of professional legal experience.
• Exposure to or interest in Banking Law, Corporate Law, Financial Law, or Corporate Governance.
• Exposure to or interest in cryptocurrencies legal framework.
• Strong spoken and written English skills (mandatory).
