DevOps Coordinator

What Awaits You

Operational Stability: Ensure the software operates smoothly within the BMW infrastructure, maintaining high availability and performance
CI/CD Management: Manage, maintain and improve continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate regular software updates and enhancements
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations
Data Flows and Analysis: Possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues arising from missing, late, or incorrect data, ensuring seamless data flow between integrated applications and maintaining data integrity throughout the process
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams (e.g., development, infrastructure, security) and external partners, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
Issue Identification and Resolution: Quickly identify infrastructure-related issues and escalate them to the appropriate personnel or teams for resolution
Proactive Approach: Anticipate potential challenges and implement preventive measures to enhance system reliability and performance
Quality Assurance: Identify and address potential issues before they impact operational stability, thereby enhancing the overall user experience and maintaining the integrity of the BMW infrastructure
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
Cost Monitoring: Monitor costs and provide suggestions for cost reductions

What Should You Bring Along

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years professional work experience in a similar role
Proven experience in IT operations, particularly in managing software applications within cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, code branching, integration into Terraform, etc.)
Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Familiarity with infrastructure and security requirements, acting as the first contact for external requests
Proactive mindset with a hands-on attitude towards problem-solving

Preferred Skills

AWS certification or relevant cloud experience.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation tasks.
Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
Understanding of operations in the area of financial services and the need for compliancy and regulations.
Experience in Agile working
