About The Role
We’re hiring a DevOps Engineer to build and own the infrastructure that powers our ventures. This role isn’t about supporting a single product—it’s about creating the shared infrastructure and security foundations that enable multiple venture pods to move fast, experiment safely, and scale with confidence. In the early stages, you’ll also step into security ownership, leaning on GCP’s AI-driven security products until we grow a dedicated security team.
What You’ll Do
About The Role
We’re hiring a DevOps Engineer to build and own the infrastructure that powers our ventures. This role isn’t about supporting a single product—it’s about creating the shared infrastructure and security foundations that enable multiple venture pods to move fast, experiment safely, and scale with confidence. In the early stages, you’ll also step into security ownership, leaning on GCP’s AI-driven security products until we grow a dedicated security team.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily GCP) that supports multiple venture pods.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid prototyping and reliable deployment across ventures.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability tools to ensure reliability and visibility across all products.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and maintenance to maximize speed and efficiency.
- Take the lead on security in the early stages—leveraging GCP’s AI-powered tools to monitor threats, enforce policies, and harden systems.
- Define reusable DevOps patterns, documentation, and tooling for new ventures.
- Partner with engineering teams across pods to ensure DevOps and security best practices are embedded from day one.
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong proficiency with GCP (AWS/Azure experience transferable).
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Comfort stepping into a security role—configuring identity, monitoring, and compliance with cloud-native tools.
- A “multiplier” mindset—you enjoy building systems, tooling, and processes that enable multiple teams to move faster.
- Experience supporting early-stage startups or high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, ML model deployment, or serverless architectures.
- Experience with SOC2, ISO, or other compliance frameworks.
- Shape the infrastructure and security foundations that power multiple ventures.
- Build at speed while ensuring our systems scale and stay secure.
- Work with a lean, ambitious team of builders and operators.
- Flexible, hybrid work based out of our studio HQ in downtown Toronto.
