About the Role
We're looking for a remote Senior Product Manager to own our IoT asset tracking product line while leading pod teams and developing junior talent.
In this role, you'll drive the complete product lifecycle for connected devices in warehouses, trucks, worksites and operational facilities. You'll lead a pod of Developers, QA, and Support teams without formal authority. You'll develop platform features including map views, sensor data, temperature monitoring, and geofenced alerts while evaluating and testing BLE sensors and IoT hardware for integration. You'll also build analytics infrastructure and launch AI-powered customer insights.
This is a high-impact growth opportunity. We launched this product 6 months ago, onboarding and over 2,000 connected devices deployed across North America, LATAM, and UAE. Currently these responsibilities are split across multiple team members, creating bottlenecks. As the dedicated owner, you'll accelerate delivery and capture market opportunities most competitors miss - creating an end-to-end journey connecting warehouse and cargo management with vehicle tracking.
Our IDEAL CANDIDATE brings 6+ years of B2B SaaS product management experience across multiple companies, with proven success shipping web and mobile products using AI-powered features and analytics. You combine technical depth in requirements writing and data analysis with strategic thinking that elevates team capabilities. You excel at negotiating competing priorities and have experience integrating hardware into SaaS platforms. Most importantly, you're a fast-moving leader who mentors others while focusing on customer outcomes over features, helping businesses understand how integrated solutions drive operational value and cost savings.
Your performance will be measured by faster fleet activation, higher engagement and workflow adoption rates, improved customer satisfaction scores, reduced churn through AI insights, and stronger platform reliability.
You'll work within pods in the Build tribe. You’ll collaborate with UI/UX Designers, Developers, QA, Scrum Masters, and Support team members within your pod, along with other PMs within the Product Management chapter. This position reports directly to the Head of Product.
You'll be doing things like:
- Research & Customer Discovery: Interview fleet operators and resellers to validate product ideas; analyze usage data and support tickets to find unmet customer needs; research competitors and industry trends using AI tools; discover prospect pain points through discovery conversations; gather insights from multiple data sources.
- Strategy & Vision Development: Own the strategic vision and roadmap for the asset tracking product line; synthesize research into outcome-focused plans that align with business objectives; work with other Product leaders on shared platform features; negotiate priorities when pods compete for resources; mentor junior PMs on strategic thinking and customer value articulation.
- Product Planning & Hardware Integration: Run sprint planning and set release goals; write and prioritize feature requirements balancing new work against technical debt; evaluate and test BLE sensors and IoT hardware for SaaS platform integration; plan development cycles with Engineering and Design teams; manage dependencies across multiple pods.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Lead Developers, QA, and Support teams without formal authority; run pod meetings and daily standups; partner with Designers and Engineers on feature execution; manage handoffs to Marketing teams.
- Analytics & Performance Optimization: Build tracking systems, dashboards, and A/B testing infrastructure; improve user onboarding flows to boost engagement metrics; transform sensor data into actionable customer insights like equipment alerts and utilization recommendations; run experiments to validate feature performance; leverage AI tools to enhance analytical capabilities and efficiency.
- Go-to-Market & Value Communication: Launch features with clear messaging focused on customer outcomes rather than technical specifications; collaborate with marketing on product announcements and customer demos; measure adoption rates and success metrics; communicate updates to internal stakeholders; help customers understand how insights drive cost savings and operational improvements.
- Team Development & Mentoring: Coach junior Product Managers on user research, analytics-driven decisions, and outcome-focused storytelling; share AI best practices across the Product team; guide team members in creating value propositions that emphasize business impact.
Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of prior experience in roles like Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, Group Product Manager, or related B2B SaaS Product roles.
- Shipped both web and mobile products across at least 2 different companies
- Active use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to accelerate product management workflows and decision-making
- Experience with AI-powered features, analytics, and APIs
- Strong requirements writing and data storytelling abilities
- Market research and competitive analysis capabilities
- User research skills including customer interviews and data analysis
- Mentoring capabilities to develop junior team members
- Outcome-focused communication that emphasizes customer value over features
- Experience with product analytics and A/B testing platforms
- Strong negotiation skills for resource allocation and priority alignment
Bonus if you also have:
- Experience with telematics, IoT, fleet management solutions, ELD systems, or dash cameras
- Multi-product B2B SaaS experience
- Product management experience integrating hardware into SaaS platforms
- Background in asset tracking solutions or camera-based monitoring systems
- Basic SQL skills for data analysis
- Familiarity with our tools: Zoho Sprints, Figma, Postman, ClickUp, LaunchDarkly/Optimizely, ChatGPT, Claude Code
Position Details
- Working Hours: Fixed 9-hour shift, 8AM-5PM Eastern Time Zone (Toronto time), inclusive of a 1-hour break
- Full-time vs Part-time: Full-time (40 hours/week, plus an additional 5 hours of break time allocated throughout the week). Exclusivity required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in any field, or equivalent work experience
- Level: Senior (6+ years or relevant experience)
- Compensation: ~CAD $3,854–$4,691 (UAH 115K–140K)/month, based on experience and region. Structured as a Consultant Agreement (independent contractor), meaning you'll be responsible for your own taxes, benefits, and insurance.
