We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team.
This is a key role that will lay the foundation for a structured and effective health & safety practice across the company. We seek a strong leader who will enhance and centralize the H&S function, unite existing specialists (H&S engineers and environmental experts) into one cohesive unit, develop policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure compliance with Ukrainian legislation and international requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve the company’s health & safety system.
- Build and lead a team of H&S engineers and environmental specialists across project sites.
- Design internal policies, procedures, and instructions related to occupational safety.
- Conduct audits, support ESG assessments, and prepare for Due Diligence reviews.
- Implement occupational health & safety management systems in accordance with ISO standards.
- Liaise with government bodies, auditors, and business partners.
- Monitor legislative changes and adapt internal processes accordingly.
- Promote a culture of safety at all levels of the organization.
What We Expect
- University degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Life Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in health & safety management.
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher (spoken and written).
- Proven experience establishing H&S practices from the ground up and managing teams.
- Strong knowledge of Ukrainian H&S legislation and ESG requirements.
- Experience with audits, Due Diligence, and implementation of safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of environmental practices and cooperation with environmental teams.
- Previous experience in the energy sector will be considered an advantage.
- Systematic, proactive, and structured approach to work.
