The Role

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, you will support and monitor the metallurgical performance of the plant, ensuring optimisation of recoveries, throughput and reagent usage. This is a hands-on role working closely with the Processing team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring metallurgical KPIs, recovery, and throughput, and providing accurate daily and monthly reports.
  • Supporting metallurgical sampling programs, laboratory test work and data interpretation.
  • Assisting with metallurgical accounting systems, including mass balancing and reconciliation.
  • Working with operations to set and review plant operating parameters and optimise circuit performance.
  • Supporting gold room activities, elution and gravity recovery circuits to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Participating in the planning and delivery of plant optimisation and upgrade projects.
  • Contributing to safety initiatives and promoting a strong safety-first culture.

About You

We Are Looking For a Technically Minded And Results-driven Metallurgist Who Is Eager To Make An Impact In a Dynamic Processing Environment. You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering (or equivalent.)
  • Previous experience as a Metallurgist in gold processing operations.
  • Solid understanding of crushing, grinding, gravity, leaching, CIL/CIP recovery and elution processes.
  • Strong skills in metallurgical accounting, data analysis and advanced Excel use.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into practical guidance for operators.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • WA “C” class driver’s licence.
