About The Role
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in Espoo. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about both hands-on data engineering and strategic data leadership. You'll spend 70% of your time building and maintaining a modern data platform on AWS and the remaining 30% of your time leading data governance initiatives and shaping our organizational data strategy. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who wants to own a critical part of our data landscape and grow into a lead data leader.
This position is in Espoo, Finland.
What You’ll Do
- Core Data Engineering: Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and our Amazon Redshift data platform. You'll build and manage integrations with CRM systems like Salesforce and HubSpot, and apply AI models to improve data quality and enrichment. Enable and maintain data security.
- Data Governance & Leadership: Lead data governance initiatives, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, drive data literacy, and help shape how data work is organized and executed across the company.
What You Bring To The Table
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong proficiency in AWS, particularly Amazon Redshift.
- Advanced SQL skills and solid programming experience with Python.
- Experience integrating data from multiple systems, especially CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Experience in data governance, data management best practices, or a strong willingness to lead these initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a knack for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points For...
- Experience working with international teams
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and implementation.
- Familiarity with applying AI techniques for data enrichment or predictive analytics.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading cross-functional data projects.
