About Us

TSV 1860 München is a historic football club with a strong tradition, passionate community, and an exciting growth path ahead. Off the pitch, we are restructuring and professionalizing our business operations — from retail and e-commerce to customer experience — and preparing for the opening of three new stores within the next year.

To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to establish and lead the HR function for our Munich-based operations. This is a unique opportunity to build HR from the ground up in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while bringing best practices from retail, fashion, and sports industries.


Your Role

As the HR Generalist, you will:

·Report directly to the Managing Director – Germany.

·Establish HR policies, workflows, and procedures tailored to our business while ensuring compliance with German labor law.

·Manage payroll processes and coordinate with external providers.

·Own the end-to-end recruitment cycle for corporate, retail, and store teams (including drafting job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding).

·Implement HR systems, forms, and tools to streamline employee lifecycle management.

·Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations, engagement, and performance matters.

·Support the growth of the business by recruiting and onboarding new team members as we expand with 3+ new stores.

·Partner closely with management to transfer best practices from other industries and ensure a professional, consistent employee experience.


Your Profile

·Around 5 years of broad HR generalist experience, ideally in fashion, retail, fast-paced environments, football clubs, or sports industry operations.

·Strong knowledge of German labor law, payroll processes, and HR compliance requirements.

·Proven experience setting up HR processes, policies, and systems from scratch.

·Hands-on recruitment expertise across multiple functions.

·Excellent communication skills; fluent German is required, and strong English is a plus.

·A self-starter who is structured, detail-oriented, and thrives in entrepreneurial settings.
