Freelance Kubernetes Developer – Remote

Our client, a well-established IT Consultancy, is seeking a freelance Kubernetes Developer to support a strategic infrastructure project. The role focuses on implementing and managing KubeVirt within a bare-metal Kubernetes environment, leveraging a minimalist Linux OS to deliver high-performance, cloud-native virtualization and orchestration.

Contract Details

• Rate: €300 per day
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: 6-month initial contract
• Location: Fully Remote

Role Overview

You will implement and manage KubeVirt on a bare-metal Kubernetes environment, using a minimalist Linux OS to deliver high-performance, cloud-native virtualization and orchestration.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, KubeVirt, and bare-metal virtualization
• Proven experience with Automation, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Ability to develop, troubleshoot, and patch beyond traditional system administration
• Experience with open-source feature development
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
