About The Role
The L2 DC Engineer provides operational support for data center environments with an
emphasis on Cisco technologies. This role is responsible for incident response, basic
configuration tasks, and escalations to L3 when needed. The L2 engineer should be
comfortable working in a production environment with change management practices.

About The Role
The L2 DC Engineer provides operational support for data center environments with an
emphasis on Cisco technologies. This role is responsible for incident response, basic
configuration tasks, and escalations to L3 when needed. The L2 engineer should be
comfortable working in a production environment with change management practices.
Core Technical Skills
- Cisco Networking:
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Cisco Nexus (5k/7k/9k) series
- Hands-on experience with VLANs, VPCs, port channels, STP, and LACP
- Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure):
- Familiarity with ACI fabric concepts (EPGs, Bridge Domains, Tenants)
- Basic troubleshooting and navigation in the APIC GUI
- Core Routing & Switching:
- Working knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, BGP (read-only or basic config)
- Experience with layer 2 and layer 3 switch configuration and verification
- Experience with ACI device provisioning and upgrades
- Experience with data formats(XML,JSON) and Automation tools(NSO, Postman, Insomnia).
