Business Analyst – Data Solutions (Microsoft Fabric)


We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data solutions within Microsoft Fabric. You will act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are translated into scalable, secure solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Translation:
  • Analyse, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Challenge and refine requirements for feasibility, scalability, and alignment with best practices.
  • Solution Development:
  • Design and build data pipelines, dataflows, and semantic models.
  • Develop and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and real-time analytics solutions.
  • Implement and optimize data models for Power BI and other analytical tools.
  • Data Governance & Quality:
  • Ensure data consistency, reliability, and security.
  • Apply data governance policies, monitor data quality, and resolve issues in collaboration with data owners.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide support and documentation for delivered solutions.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.


What We Are Looking For


Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
  • Microsoft certifications PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) and DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) are a plus.


Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analytics, BI, or data engineering roles.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data solutions.
  • Strong SQL, data modeling, and data visualization skills (DAX, Power Query).
  • Familiarity with Azure ecosystem components: Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Purview.
  • Knowledge of structured data governance and software development frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work proactively in agile, multidisciplinary environments.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English.
