Job Purpose
Overseeing daily sales floor operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, guiding sales consultants in their responsibilities, and upholding store procedures, while acting as the first line of leadership.
Functional Roles And Responsibilities
- Supervising day-to-day floor activities, including traffic flow, sales consultant positioning, and staff coverage to optimize customer service.
- Ensuring customer service excellence at all designated touchpoints by observing interactions, coaching in real-time, and resolving service gaps.
- Monitoring stock levels on the floor, coordinating with BOH for timely replenishment, and supporting click & collect handovers to guarantee seamless customer experience.
- Escalating operational, technical, or customer issues promptly to management while proposing practical solutions when possible.
- Supporting the execution of new product launches, visual merchandising directives, and store events, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Assisting in product and brand training by reinforcing product knowledge on the floor and sharing selling techniques to improve performance.
- Ensuring compliance with store SOPs, health & safety measures, and operational checklists to safeguard customer and staff experience.
- Leading, coaching, and motivating Sales Consultants daily to maintain enthusiasm, customer focus, and productivity.
- Allocating daily tasks and responsibilities, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of assigned duties.
- Providing on-the-spot feedback to team members to correct behaviors or reinforce positive performance.
- Identifying skill gaps in the team and recommending training or coaching support to management.
- Escalating performance or conduct issues in a timely manner, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies.
- Acting as a role model on the sales floor by demonstrating service excellence, teamwork, and brand ambassadorship.
Education/Certification and Continued Education
Bachelor’s degree required; specialization in retail, business, hospitality or a related field preferred
Years Of Experience
2-4 years in a retail sales or customer-facing role
Knowledge And Skills
- Demonstrating strong ability to supervise, assigning tasks, and motivating teams to achieve results.
- Maintaining a service-first approach and adapting to the expectations of diverse and luxury clientele.
- Using clear, effective communication to guide team members, resolving issues, and engaging with customers.
- Understanding stock management processes, overseeing replenishment cycles, supporting click & collect, and ensuring store compliance standards.
- Operating POS systems, CRM platforms, scheduling tools, and standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Identifying operational or customer service challenges quickly and implementing immediate corrective action.
- Prioritizing multiple responsibilities and ensuring smooth execution of floor operations under pressure.
- Building familiarity with product categories, reinforcing brand values, and applying selling techniques to guide both customers and team members.
- Communicating fluently in English, with additional languages (Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, or French) serving as a strong advantage for luxury clientele.
