As a Governance-Centric DevOps Engineer within the Azure domain, your primary objective is to institute governance principles that automate and enhance collaboration between development and IT operations units. Through the utilization of Azure DevOps methodologies and tools, you will establish efficient workflows for software development, deployment, and the management of Azure infrastructure. In doing so, you'll expedite software release cycles while upholding system stability and compliance standards within the Azure ecosystem.
DevOps Automation Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in the creation and maintenance of automation pipelines, utilizing Azure DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps Services, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Resource Manager templates. Automate infrastructure and application deployment and configuration to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, guaranteeing the automatic building, testing, and deployment of software applications. Enable the frequent and dependable release of software.
Collaborative Communication: Cultivate effective communication and cooperation between development and operations teams. Ensure a shared comprehension of the development and deployment processes for both groups.
Monitoring and Logging: Establish monitoring and logging systems within Azure, including Azure Monitor and Application Insights, to track the performance of applications and infrastructure. Utilize this data to proactively identify and address issues.
Security Integration: Embed security measures into the CI/CD pipeline, covering code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and access controls. Ensure adherence to security standards and industry best practices.
Azure Resource Governance: Skillfully manage and optimize Azure resources, keeping a close watch on resource utilization. Implement cost containment strategies and maintain resource availability and redundancy.
Version Control Mastery: Employ version control systems like Git for the effective management of source code and infrastructure configurations, ensuring traceability and accountability.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation encompassing configurations, processes, and best practices. Contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance comprehension and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps tools and services, including Azure DevOps Services, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Repos.
• Strong understanding of Azure services, networking, and resource management. • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Security and compliance expertise, including Azure Security Center.
• Familiarity with DevOps best practices and Agile methodologies.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator) preferred.
