Responsibilities
- Design and implement network systems to enhance overall user experience and performance.
- Manage and maintain network hardware, software, and communication links effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
- Conduct regular network performance assessments to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Implement effective network security measures to protect organizational data and resources.
- Evaluate and recommend networking products, services, and technologies for improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to align network infrastructure with business goals.
- Ensure network architecture is flexible and scalable to meet future growth and demands.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, processes, and hardware inventories.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance network operations knowledge.
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to networking systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and support staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar networking role is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with network security concepts and practices, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assess network performance criteria.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
