As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Network Administrator to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Network Administrator at WellPass Group, you’ll help deliver secure, scalable IT infrastructure to remote sites across North America. This hybrid role involves hardware prep at our Calgary facility, remote network support, and direct client interaction — with occasional travel for on-site installations. Your work will support the seamless integration of our technology in the field while helping to maintain strong, solutions with, focused relationships with our clients. Success in this role requires a solid understanding of remote operations such as oil and gas and/or construction environments, along with a creative, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, configure, and test hardware and network kits in our warehouse for deployment to remote locations
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including Ubiquiti routers, switches, access points, and firewalls, as well as security camera systems from AXIS and Ubiquiti
- Manage network security using FortiGate and Ubiquiti firewalls, and deploy VPNs and remote access solutions to support remote sites
- Support and configure remote communication equipment such as Starlink systems, LTE modems, and cellular boosters
- Monitor remote networks and infrastructure to proactively identify and resolve issues, while providing telephone and remote support to partners and clients for software, connectivity, and network-related concerns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure seamless deployments
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, equipment inventories, and operational procedures
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with a strong interest in new and emerging technologies
- Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Experience in technical support or IT networking roles, ideally in a client-facing capacity
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti network equipment, remote access tools, and wireless technologies
- Familiarity with FortiGate firewalls, Starlink systems, and IP camera setups (AXIS and Ubiquiti)
- Comfortable with remote network monitoring and general network security practices
- Ability to assemble, configure, and prepare remote site kits from warehouse stock, ensuring all components are tested and deployment-ready
- Must be available to work onsite at our Calgary warehouse three days per week, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Ubiquiti UEWA, etc.
- Experience supporting remote, industrial, or field-based deployments
Why Join Us?
- Competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package
- Clear opportunities for professional growth and career development
- Company-provided assets including a company truck (for site travel), laptop, and reimbursement for personal cell phone use
