The Business Intelligence Team sits within the CEO Office as a Strategy & Transformation function within Dyson. The role is accountable for the operational leadership on the assigned product categories within the business.

The position is also accountable for driving strategic decision making through Competitor, Product, Technology & Market Intelligence across all stakeholder groups. Highlighting holistic and strategic analysis to leverage intelligence assessments for Dyson to create and protect market leading products and supporting senior leaders shape category and business strategies.

Responsibilities Include




  • Category subject matter expect, highly proficient in data analytics and strategic assessment. Delivering the provision of intelligence through data analytics to drive the strategic goals of the business. Managing and prioritizing resource / time in accordance with their impact/profile/urgency, managing stakeholders for your categories. Oversee an operational testing budget centered on regional and category strategic value to Dyson. Exhibit effective leadership and foster open communication among a global team.

    • Deliver a platform of Intelligence that services RDD, Business Unit & Legal project to enable strategic decision making.
    • Business Intelligence support to the IP Enforcement and Product Litigation teams. Accountabilities Strategic
    • Leading across the Global BI Team Goals that enhance our team’s service model growth. Operational
    • Delivering consistent BI Service across all categories and applying constant learnings to enhance our service model.
    • Accountability on Business Intelligence benchmarking & data matrices which enable efficiency & effective decision making for the business.
    • Operational reporting and analysis to senior stakeholder groups within the enterprise (e.g. Legal , RDD and BU).
    • Supports the preparation of BI data, analysis, competitive landscape, delivered to Dyson senior leadership (ExCo, Board and JD). Financial Performance
    • Effective management of category spend against approved budget.
    • Conduct forecasting exercises to guide future budget cycles. Requirements Commercial Acumen & Behaviors
    • High Proficiency in Data Analytics and Knowledge of BI tools.
    • Demonstrates excellent commercial awareness and tailors' solutions that reflect the business priorities.
    • Actively contributes to the wider business by taking part in cross functional teamwork and projects.
    • Project management skills; this person must be able to plan, prioritize, deliver and evaluate projects individually and with others.
    • Sets challenging and realistic goals for self and team aligned to the business strategy.

    • Proactively creates maintains and promotes a strong network of connections with colleagues across the business.
    • Is a persuasive presenter to small and large audiences and adapts delivery to suit the context.
