Our company produces organic potato starch, plant protein concentrates and flours, B2C products, etc. We work with our customers helping them to solve their application challenges with our solutions.
The A&TS manager though reporting to R&D will work in close contact with our sales team and our customers helping our customers with their application challenges. The A&Ts manager will also follow some customer directly in order to become more intimate with our sales processes and develop a commercial sensibility.
The Job: Specialty Sales Manager Reports to CCO
• Initiate and lead customer projects, often but not only in collaboration with sales Managers man and give supports to “funnel projects”.
• Work with the Senior Management team to design and implement company strategies and plans in B2B International sales
• Formulate with CCO & R&D and Marketing Director sales and marketing strategies that will enable the company to achieve its ambitious growth objectives
• Monitor market and competitors’ products, initiatives and activities and react accordingly: propose necessary countermeasures if needed.
• Will help to develop the company from selling Food/feed Ingredients to a provider of sustainable food and feed ingredients solutions.
• Provide detailed rolling sales forecasting with a 12-months using our systems, horizon power BI etc.
• Establish and maintain global and key customer relationships. Review their activities, anticipate their needs, and improve customer satisfaction
• Create sales reports template to be adopted by all the sales force and prepare regular updates on key customers’ projects progresses
• Have responsibility to complete project requests for R&D that are significantly impacting the bottom line or that are strategically important.
• Have responsibility for clients’ solvency both new and existent. Collaborate with CFO to recover credit.
• Hunt for new customer products combinations.
• Discuss and establish key customers’ project priority with CIO director and CCO.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to develop and bring to market solutions based on our ingredients.
• Identifies market opportunities by analyzing sales reports, market trends, competitors’ intelligence etc.
• Provides leadership and support for the design, development, refinement and implementation of products/solutions identifying costumers’ application challenges, develop new application solutions to meet customer’s needs.
• Engage with customers to understand their specific needs and challenges, providing customized solutions that align with their technical requirements.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical consultations to showcase how products can solve customer problems.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, including cost estimations, product configurations, and implementation timelines.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technology advancements, and competitor products to effectively communicate product value
• Put safety as priority number one in everything she/he does.
• Prioritize her/his work on company key thrusts and commercial relevance
• Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or better Master in food technology, Food Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in similar disciplines are a plus.
• Experience at a managerial commercial level in the food Ingredients industry or similar industries with B2B sale orientation
• Ability to manage complex negotiations
• Understanding of key account management methodologies
• Experience with preparation and execution of key accounts strategic plans
• Value selling capabilities
• Business development expertise (management of project pipelines in conjunction with R&D)
• B2B marketing know-how.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in product development processes with a significant commercial exposure, direct sales responsibility is a significant plus.
• Understanding of the food manufacturing process and the role of food ingredients in product development and production.
• Experience in value-based selling, with the ability to articulate the added value of products and solutions to clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in English is a must. Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., Russian, German) is highly desirable.
• A valid driver’s license is required, with the ability to travel independently to meet clients and attend events.
