CSMART is currently looking for a full-time Senior Specialist (Leadership, Culture & Team Performance) as part of the Operations department.
This role plays a key part in integrating leadership, culture, and team performance into CSMART’s maritime training programs. The Senior Specialist works with internal teams and corporate stakeholders to design and deliver innovative training solutions, collaborating with departments such as Competency Standards, HR, Communications, and Standards & Design. The Specialist will ensure course content reflects key leadership and cultural themes while shaping the long-term roadmap for competency development and training enhancements.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Senior Specialist (Leadership, Culture & Team Performance), your responsibilities, among others, will include:
- Collaborating with leadership teams (Competency Standards, HR & Communication) to ensure that key themes in leadership, culture, and team performance are embedded into course content and competencies.
- Providing subject-matter expertise in designing and reviewing course materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Shaping the long-term roadmap by embedding leadership, culture and team performance themes into the training lifecycle and representing these areas in workgroups.
- Delivering modules as a subject matter expert across CSMART programs.
- Coaching and mentoring instructors through qualification processes and instructional delivery, providing structured feedback to enhance quality.
- Leading projects focused on innovative training solutions and participate in cross-functional workgroups.
- Monitoring training outcomes and instructor performance using KPIs, adjusting content and delivery methods as needed.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, teaching techniques, and Carnival procedures through ship visits and ongoing research.
- Proven experience as a leadership instructor.
- Strong understanding of competency-based learning and training program development.
- Expertise in leadership, organizational culture and team performance.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and with internal/external stakeholders.
- Strong mentoring, coaching and leadership skills in multicultural environments.
- Project management experience and ability to contribute to long-term training roadmaps.
- Effective problem-solving skills in instructional design and delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
