As a Labour Relations Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for navigating sensitive, high-impact HR issues; with a strong focus on disciplinary actions and redundancy processes. You’ll work hand-in-hand with leaders and local labor authorities to ensure every step is handled with fairness, clarity, and full legal compliance.

Your Day to Day


  • Lead and manage redundancy processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws and providing support to affected employees;
  • Prepare, review, and finalize all redundancy-related documentation and agreements;
  • Collaborate with legal advisors to ensure all redundancy actions are legally compliant and defensible;
  • Serve as a key contact with labor authorities; handle communication, reporting, and inspections;
  • Oversee disciplinary processes, including investigations, documentation, and implementation of actions;
  • Address employee grievances, promote engagement, and support a positive workplace culture;
  • Provide HR guidance to managers and employees on policies and employee relations;
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring organizational compliance;
  • Identify training needs and coordinate HR-related training sessions and development programs;
  • Monitor and drive adherence to HR policies while supporting employee growth and performance.


What You Bring to the Table


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Legal (preferred);
  • Portuguese native, English – C1;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a strong focus on redundancy processes and disciplinary actions;
  • Experience working with labor authorities and legal advisors
  • Extensive knowledge of labor laws and regulations;
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex negotiations effectively;
  • Strong legal background and understanding of legal frameworks related to HR;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
