Responsibilities

Design and develop application functionality using Kotlin and modern open-source frameworks (Spring Boot) and components to meet the requirements of business stakeholders.

Have frequent conversations with users to understand their requirements and bring them along on the strategic transformation.

Help define and model business user stories, acceptance tests, software design, data modelling, data flow and user interface designs.

Ongoing improvements to Continuous Integration and automated deployment pipeline.

Support user acceptance testing, release planning and co-ordination, user training and assist L1/L2 support in root cause analysis.

Skills

Must have

5+ years of experience as a Java Developer: core Java concepts, object-oriented programming, multithreading, and Java EE technologies. Experience in developing enterprise applications using J2EE technologies.

Hands-on Experience with Kotlin and Java 11+

Experience working with SpringBoot, Hibernate, REST API

Agile development practices with strong focus on quality through automated testing

Relational database data modelling and querying of large data sets (preferably Oracle)

Nice to have

Experience with HTML web user interfaces (React) would be beneficial to work front-to-back

Containerized cloud deployment concepts beneficial e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
