- To provide second line oversight and lead the implementation of Product Risk Governance, including preparing related processes and procedures, engaging business units in the identification and assessment of risks in the product, assessment of controls in place to mitigate those product related risks. This ensures that risks related to operational, compliance, legal, fraud, information security, outsourcing, accounting and reconciliation are effectively identified, challenged and managed before product approval and throughout the product life cycle.
- Lead the first line stakeholders on the product risk process, documentation, and their responsibilities in the risk governance framework across the Bank and managing key stakeholders involved in the product.
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders involved in product risk assessment adhere to the Bank’s Product Risk Governance Framework;
- Responsible for end to end product risk assessment process in alignment with the defined SLA and Bank’s Product Risk Governance Framework;
- Review and challenge the accuracy and completeness of product documentation;
- Conduct independent product risk assessments of new products and material product changes in line with the bank’s product risk assessment methodology/framework in collaboration with Compliance, Legal, Information Security, Banking Operations and other stakeholders to validate the identified risks and controls in the product assessment process.
- Review and challenge risk mitigation controls proposed by product owners and recommend additional controls or risk mitigations where needed.
- Track the progress of product risk assessments, conditions and post approval actions and maintain a product catalogue in coordination with product owners.
- Review and update the product risk assessment policy, templates, user guides and contribute to the enhancement of product risk assessment documents.
- Facilitate Product Risk Committee (PCRC) meetings and other relevant risk committees to ensure reporting is done accurately and timely.
- Develop positive and productive working relationships with business units and promote knowledge sharing;
- Assist and collaborate in any internal ad-hoc requests i.e. memos, presentations, documentation request etc;
- Responds to audit request or any initiative or request related to Non-Financial Risk department.
- Prepare reports/presentations to Head of Non-Financial Risk/committees and senior management.
- Bachelor degree in Banking/Business or equivalent
