We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Laravel and React to join our core engineering team. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling key components of our proprietary loan management system (LMS), customer portals, and internal financial automation tools.

You’ll work closely with our leadership, product, and data teams to build robust, secure, and high-performance systems that handle large-scale transactions daily.

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Laravel (PHP) and microservice patterns.
• Build and maintain front-end applications using React.js and modern component architectures.
• Integrate with third-party APIs such as payment gateways, ID verification, and credit reporting providers.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical documentation, and best-practice standards.
• Collaborate with designers and product owners to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Mentor mid-level developers and contribute to code reviews.
• Optimise system performance, security, and reliability for high-throughput environments.
• Drive continuous improvement across deployment, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Laravel, PHP 8+, and modern React (Hooks, Context, TypeScript preferred).
• Experience with MySQL, RESTful APIs, and AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Git workflows.
• Experience building scalable, high-availability applications.
• Strong grasp of system security, performance optimisation, and database design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving startup environment.

• Experience with financial systems, fintech, or lending platforms.
• Knowledge of Node.js, Python, or microservice orchestration.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, GraphQL, or Next.js.
• Prior experience leading small teams or technical projects.
