The Role
This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced DevOps solutions aligned with organisational tools and standards. The specialist leads the development of process automations, reusable infrastructure components, and platform enhancements that support multiple projects with consistent infrastructure needs.
They collaborate across engineering, architecture, and security teams to drive standardisation, lead DevOps transformation initiatives, and promote a strong DevOps culture. The role also includes technical leadership, mentoring, and ensuring alignment with enterprise best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD templates.
Lead automation initiatives using Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub Actions.
Define and enforce infrastructure standards across environments.
Drive observability improvements using tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
Collaborate on network design and security controls (NSGs, UDRs, private endpoints).
Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams.
Key Technical Expertise
Azure (App Services, Functions, VNets, Private Endpoints, Key Vault, etc.)
Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards)
Terraform (including remote state management and module design)
CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)
Databricks (workspace setup, networking, deployment automation)
Networking (NSGs, UDRs, VWAN, peering, DNS)
