Junior Platform Engineer

Summary

We’re looking for a Junior Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering teams. In this role, you’ll highly involved in the shift from legacy and network-based environments to cloud based solutions, managing IT infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain core infrastructure components, including platform services, containers, and cloud operations;
  • Design, build, and operate platforms that serve as the foundation for software solutions and services;
  • Lead and support the migration from legacy, network-based environments to modern cloud-based solutions;
  • Combine expertise across network engineering, system administration, and storage administration to ensure reliable platform operations;
  • Develop and maintain tools, automation, and infrastructure that enhance engineering productivity and scalability;
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance to ensure high availability, security, and efficiency;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, DevOps, and security) to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure platforms.
  • Implement best practices in infrastructure management, configuration, monitoring, and incident response;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by researching and adopting new technologies, methodologies, and processes.

About The Ideal Candidate

  • Basic understanding of the compute stack: storage, networking, operating systems, virtualization, containerization, and provisioning;
  • Foundational knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar);
  • Exposure to virtualization and containerization technologies such as VirtualBox, Docker, or Kubernetes;
  • Interest in cloud platforms and services, with some hands-on experience through projects, labs, or internships;
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus;
  • Eagerness to learn monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, or similar);
  • Exposure to CI/CD concepts and version control systems such as Git; experience with pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) is an advantage;
  • Basic understanding of messaging systems or streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus;
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow into advanced platform engineering responsibilities;
  • Proficiency in English with good communication and collaboration skills.
