Role Description

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java and Spring Boot to join our growing engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power our core applications and services.You’ll play a key role in building and optimizing web-based products that power our core SaaS platform. Working closely with our design, product, and fronted teams, you’ll help deliver fast, responsive, and intuitive user experiences across our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot.
• Build robust integrations with internal and third-party systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to database design and data modeling (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues when necessary.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience in backend development with Java.
• Solid understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in an agile, team-oriented environment.
