THE ROLE

Due to continued growth, we’re now looking to recruit a highly motivated, intelligent, and energetic Senior Product Owner to support the creation of a new business unit responsible for Trading. You will bridge the gap between our trading team, the development team, business intelligence and other stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical deliverables. By defining and prioritizing product features, you will empower our traders to achieve peak performance.

This role requires a hybrid attendance in the office (3 days/week) and is available for candidates that are based in or willing to relocate to our office location in Malta, Madrid, or Lyon.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute on the product vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring a clear roadmap for the development team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine product requirements.
• Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to ensure efficient and effective product delivery.
• Ensure the quality of the development and efficient use of the resources. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including traders, developers, and business leaders, to ensure alignment and buy-in for the project.
• Collaborate with the development team, BI team, and other business units to plan and execute product releases, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
• Own the product lifecycle, from inception to launch and beyond, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.
• Utilize data and analytics to inform product decisions and measure success.

Main Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Product Owner with a strong background in the financial, digital trading and/or technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of experience in trading environments within crypto, FX, equities, or banking sector.
• A deep understanding of trading platforms, TechOps engineering, and algorithmic hosting frameworks, with exposure to crypto assets being highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data analysis, systematic trading design, business intelligence tools, and optimization frameworks.
• Knowledge of Python, C domain languages, or Rust is a plus,
• Practical experience in custom-built trading software solutions and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and a strong understanding of Agile principles.
• The ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Anticipate and prevent bottlenecks, and synchronize multiple operations within different business units.
• The ability to lead and motivate teams, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
