ABOUT THE ROLE

Jotform is expanding our team and is now seeking a Security Engineer for our Incident Response Team in our Ankara office. We are looking for someone who has a solid technical foundation and keen investigative skills and is excited about being part of a global team operating across multiple time zones.

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Perform digital forensics investigation based on logs and other data. Validate containment and remediation measures, Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as necessary.
• Create both manual procedures documents and automated procedures for incident handling.
• Analyze incidents and events captured in the case management data for trends, patterns, or actionable information.
• Review incidents and events captured in the case management data after closure for investigative sufficiency and timeliness.
• Monitor SIEM to catch any anomalies and fine-tune detection rules. Enrich SIEM by writing detection rules and integrating new log sources.
• Perform threat hunting to search for attacks that may have slipped through defensive layers.
• Keep track of new vulnerabilities to help prevent any impact from them.

Education & Work Experience & Technical Requirements:

• BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Security/Technology or in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital forensics and incident response.
• Hands-on technical skills in Linux as well as at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash. Experience with the Elastic Stack is a plus.
• Understanding of web vulnerabilities and prevention measures.
• Excellent command of English.
