We're looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to join a seed-stage startup that is revolutionizing how sales teams communicate.
About the Company:
The company is building a smart, AI-powered telephony solution that integrates seamlessly into Salesforce, providing sales reps with real-time insights and automating tedious tasks. Their mission is to eliminate manual data entry, provide powerful conversational intelligence, and help sales teams close deals faster. They are a small but quickly expanding startup with real customers and ambitious growth plans.
Role:
This is a role for a product-aware engineer who understands the entire system, from a slick UI on the device to the .NET APIs that power it. You will make key architectural decisions, choose the mobile technology stack, and own the entire mobile application lifecycle. You'll be the voice and driver of the company's entire mobile strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Build: Lead the greenfield development of the mobile application for both iOS and Android. Make foundational decisions on mobile architecture and technology stack (Native, React Native, Flutter, .NET MAUI).
- End-to-End Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy a high-quality, performant, and intuitive mobile application.
- Bridge to the Backend: Collaborate closely with the backend team to design and evolve the RESTful APIs the mobile app consumes. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the API strategy for mobile-specific needs like offline sync and push notifications.
- Own the Release Pipeline: Manage the entire process of deploying and maintaining the application on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including setting up CI/CD pipelines.
- Champion Mobile Best Practices: Be the resident expert on mobile development, ensuring best practices for performance, security, and user experience across both platforms.
Attitude Expectations:
- Own problems, not just tasks. Take full ownership of features from the initial “napkin sketch” all the way through deployment, monitoring, and iteration. Responsibility doesn’t end when the code is merged.
- Navigate ambiguity. As an early-stage startup, not everything is perfectly defined. Be comfortable making informed decisions, weighing trade-offs, and charting a path forward with minimal guidance.
- Be a strategic partner. Challenge assumptions, contribute to the product roadmap, and advocate for architectural choices that lead to long-term success. You're not just building what you’re told; you’re helping decide what to build and why.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in mobile application development, with a portfolio of shipped applications on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
- Deep Platform Expertise: Expert in native development (Swift/SwiftUI for iOS or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose for Android) with willingness to work cross-platform, OR significant experience building apps with modern cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
- Strong Backend & API Proficiency: Proven experience designing, consuming, and debugging complex RESTful APIs. Confident discussing API contracts, authentication, and data synchronization strategies. Think about the entire system, not just the client.
- Mobile Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of mobile design patterns (MVVM, MVC, etc.), state management, and building scalable and maintainable mobile applications.
- Autonomy and Ownership: Thrive in an environment with freedom and responsibility to lead major projects from concept to completion.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):
- Previous experience integrating AI/ML models into a production environment.
Why Join:
- High Impact: Be one of the first key engineering hires. The code you write will directly impact customers and company success.
- Cutting-Edge Tech: Work at the intersection of enterprise SaaS, telephony, and AI.
- Awesome Team: Join a passionate, transparent, and collaborative team that values innovation and getting things done. Work with ex-Google engineers, PhD AI researchers, and telecom industry veterans.
