As a Senior Payroll Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in our HR & Payroll team in Asker, supporting the Payroll Team Leader in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality payroll and HR services to our clients. This is a dynamic role that combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, offering a broad scope for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within payroll operations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to provide input on pricing strategies and ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Monitor and follow up on client pricing, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Take ownership of client delivery, ensuring high-quality payroll services and proactive communication with clients.
- Support the expansion of services to existing clients by identifying additional needs and proposing tailored solutions.
- Act as a commercial partner within the team, helping to drive growth and client satisfaction through a service-minded and business-oriented approach.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and setting up payroll systems.
- Analyze client data and specific requirements to deliver tailored payroll solutions.
- Ensure timely collection and verification of payroll documents and input data in line with local regulations and client contracts.
- Provide support to team members to ensure service excellence and on-time delivery.
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors, banks, and relevant authorities.
Key Requirements

- 5–6 years of relevant experience in payroll or a similar role, ideally within a client-facing business environment.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and build strong professional relationships.
- A resourceful mindset with strong technical knowledge or a keen interest in exploring innovative ways to support our clients.
- Independent and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian (fluent) and English, written and verbal.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities, with a reliable and responsible approach to work.
- A collaborative team player who contributes to shared goals and supports colleagues.
