As a Senior Payroll Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in our HR & Payroll team in Asker, supporting the Payroll Team Leader in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality payroll and HR services to our clients. This is a dynamic role that combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, offering a broad scope for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within payroll operations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to provide input on pricing strategies and ensure alignment with client expectations.
• Monitor and follow up on client pricing, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Take ownership of client delivery, ensuring high-quality payroll services and proactive communication with clients.
• Support the expansion of services to existing clients by identifying additional needs and proposing tailored solutions.
• Act as a commercial partner within the team, helping to drive growth and client satisfaction through a service-minded and business-oriented approach.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and setting up payroll systems.
• Analyze client data and specific requirements to deliver tailored payroll solutions.
• Ensure timely collection and verification of payroll documents and input data in line with local regulations and client contracts.
• Provide support to team members to ensure service excellence and on-time delivery.
• Liaise with external parties such as auditors, banks, and relevant authorities.

• 5–6 years of relevant experience in payroll or a similar role, ideally within a client-facing business environment.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and build strong professional relationships.
• A resourceful mindset with strong technical knowledge or a keen interest in exploring innovative ways to support our clients.
• Independent and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian (fluent) and English, written and verbal.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities, with a reliable and responsible approach to work.
• A collaborative team player who contributes to shared goals and supports colleagues.
