As IT Operations Manager at AKVA group, you will work with advanced technology and play a key role in shaping, optimizing, and evolving IT operations across our headquarters and international locations. We are looking for a hands-on and technically strong IT Manager who is motivated by driving efficiency and delivering first-class IT services in our steadily growing business. You will have a key role within our IT & Enterprise solutions team, and be based at our modern head office at Kverneland Industripark – a five-minute walk from the train station, with good parking and bicycling facilities.

Job Purpose And Responsibilities

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborates with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality IT services aligned with business goals. This includes:

  • Manage and monitor IT operations including servers, storage, networks, cloud services, workplace and end-user support.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems and applications.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL v4 best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor IT staff, system administrators, and network engineers.
  • Develop training plans and performance goals for team members.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies and respond to threats.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to modernize infrastructure and enhance user experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL v4, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Proven skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Norwegian and English language skills
