Job Purpose And Responsibilities
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborates with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality IT services aligned with business goals. This includes:
- Manage and monitor IT operations including servers, storage, networks, cloud services, workplace and end-user support.
- Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems and applications.
- Lead incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL v4 best practices.
- Supervise and mentor IT staff, system administrators, and network engineers.
- Develop training plans and performance goals for team members.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies and respond to threats.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Drive initiatives to modernize infrastructure and enhance user experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL v4, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and enterprise IT systems.
- Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Proven skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Norwegian and English language skills
